It seems I can’t pick up a newspaper without reading about bullying in our communities and schoolyards and the increasingly dire consequences of young people mistreating one another.  I am proud to announce the release of Big Bully, a new compilation by Recess Music.  My song, “I’m Sorry,” is one of the tracks on this CD  promoting awareness of this timely issue.

“I’m Sorry” was first released on my recording Songs In the Key of Chai: Oldish, Newish and Mostly Jewish Songs for All Families (2008).  I wrote the song as a way for young ones to practice these important words, especially as they relate to the practice of apologizing to loved ones during Jewish holiday Yom Kippur.

Other artists whose work appears as part of the compilation include Nancy  Tucker, Milkshake and Lou Del Bianco.

Summer never sounded so good when the campers at JCYS in Buffalo Grove join me for an all-camp in-house concert!  I’ll be singing songs of summer and fun at 10am on the morning of Friday, July 8th.  Can’t wait to smell the suntan lotion and tap toes with my friends at JCYS!  [This event is closed to the public.]

I’ll be helping preschoolers and their families celebrate graduation on Wednesday, June 1st, in Highland Park.  This event is closed to the public.  CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES!

I’ll be singing and celebrating with the families in Lakeview at preschool graduation on Thursday, June 2nd.  This event is closed to the public.  CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE GRADUATES!

I’ll be singing with the children and families of the Mary Meyer School in Chicago on Friday evening, June 3rd, as part of its end of the year celebration.  This event is closed to the public.  I am looking forward to returning as their musical artist-in- residence in the Fall of 2011!
